What we do
Four strands of practical support, delivered with warmth. Every programme is designed around the people it serves — and kept free or affordable wherever possible.
Community connection
Loneliness is a quiet crisis. We run befriending schemes, community hubs and social groups where people can simply belong — no cost, no form-filling, no judgement. Trained volunteers stay in regular contact with people who are isolated, while hubs give local communities a shared, welcoming space.
Skills & employment
Finding work can feel impossible when you lack confidence, a network or basic digital skills. We offer practical training, one-to-one coaching, CV and interview help, and a supportive community of learners — so unemployed adults can build the skills and belief to move forward, at their own pace.
Family support
Raising a family on a low income is relentless. We support families and single parents with practical help they can afford — including food support, budgeting advice, help navigating benefits and public services, and advocacy when systems feel overwhelming.
Support for older people
Many older people live alone and feel forgotten — cut off from transport, technology and support. We offer home visits, phone befriending, practical help with day-to-day tasks, and help reconnecting people with their communities and services.
Small steps, real relationships
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all. Every strand of our work follows the same approach.
Listen first
We start by understanding each person's situation, needs and strengths — never by assuming.
Connect people
We match people with the right support: our own services, volunteers, or trusted local partners.
Grow together
We stay alongside people as they build skills and confidence, and we learn from them to get better.
